CDD-Ghana visits the Daily Graphic, Ghanaian Times
Officials of CDD-Ghana have held separate discussions with editors of the Daily Graphic and the Ghanaian Times at two separate meetings in Accra.
The meeting was part of efforts by CDD-Ghana to familiarise itself with the work of the media houses, improve relations and to explore areas of cooperation with the two influential newspapers.
The leader of the delegation, Ambassador Francis Tsegah, a Senior Research Fellow, thanked the editors for supporting the work of CDD over the years. He said the media is an important stakeholder in the fight to promote good governance and democracy in Ghana. Thus, strengthening relations with the media will be in the interest f all Ghanaians.
The Public Affairs Officer of CDD-Ghana, Mr. Theodore Dzeble urged the editors to make good use of the rich research information available at the Center to complement their reportage. He said research projects such as the Afrobaromer and the Africa Power and Politics Program, among others provide important information on governance in Africa that could enrich the media’s work.
The editors, on their part pledged their readiness to continue to work with the Center in its efforts to promote democracy and good governance in Ghana and Africa. Other members of the delegation included Mr. Daniel Armah-Attoh, Acting Head of Programs, and Nana Ama Agyeman, the Publications Assistant.
