CODEO organizes training workshop for regional coordinators
The Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO) has organized a training workshop for 50 pre-election observers in three centers in Accra, Kumasi and Tamale simultaneously.
The observers were trained to use three different checklists to observe pre-elections activities by the Electoral Commission, political parties and other election stakeholders before voting day. The observers will monitor the exhibition of the provisional voters’ register, sittings of the District Registration Review Committees (DRRCs), the campaign activities and rallies, of political parties, including the nomination and endorsement of party leaders, civic/voter education, among others.
The observers will be on the field until December 3, 2012 and they will be submitting weekly reports to the CODEO Secretariat in Accra.
