Mission Statement
Contribute to the stabilisation of communities that have been threatened by conflict and instability.
Objectives
- Help in creating conditions which enables people and communities to take care and control of their lives,
- Contribute to transforming communities in finding alternative means of survival,
- Encourage communities to shift from gun-making cultures to more peaceful economic activities
Activities
Been active in the demobilisation of troops in the Lira and Dira provinces;
Worked actively in seven communities in the North Eastern part of the country by engaging local people to try and solve their problems;
Supervised the decommissioning on 230 and 270 guns in Lira and Dira respectively;
In some of the major gun producing areas like Segou and Makala helped to streamline the registration of such manufacturers.
