Objectives of CGG
To promote democratic participation of civil society.
To promote gender empowerment for gender equality.
To promote human rights and the rule of law
A brief statement of activities of CGG
1. 1996/1997- Induction workshop for newly elected members of parliament on "Role of Parliament in a Presidential System of Government" and "Differences between a Parliamentary and Presidential System of government".
2. Mobilized civil disobedience against the coup d'etat of May 1997.
3. 1998/1999: Organized a series of radio discussion for various civic organizations on issues of good governance.
